Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough and spread maple syrup and chopped pecans on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Drizzle with additional maple syrup before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark maple syrup.
- These buns are best served warm.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
