Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture to the dry ingredients; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough and spread maple syrup and chopped pecans on top.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Drizzle with additional maple syrup before serving.
