Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes into evenly sized pieces. Aim for roughly 1-inch chunks to promote even cooking.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Allow them to steam dry briefly.
  4. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Incorporate the warmed milk and softened butter.
  5. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  6. Let cool before storing in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  7. Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave before serving.
