Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes into evenly sized pieces. Aim for roughly 1-inch chunks to promote even cooking.
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Allow them to steam dry briefly.
- Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Incorporate the warmed milk and softened butter.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Let cool before storing in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
- Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave before serving.
