- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup sliced cucumbers
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the pan and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare the rice in bowls and top with the cooked beef.
- Add sliced green onions, shredded carrots, and cucumbers on top.
- Garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add gochujang (Korean chili paste) to the marinade.
- Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference.
