Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the beef mixture, cooking until browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. To serve, place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto a lettuce leaf.
  5. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  6. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and enjoy!

  • For a spicier version, add gochujang (Korean chili paste) to the beef mixture.
