  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, fully incorporating each one before the next.
  4. Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined.
  7. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about two inches between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  10. Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth for the glaze.
  11. Dip the tops of the cooled cookies into the glaze and sprinkle with colorful sprinkles.
  12. Allow the glaze to set before serving.
