- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, honey, and salt. Heat over medium heat until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
- Add the dried lavender and let it steep for about 15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until completely cold.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger lavender flavor, increase the amount of dried lavender.
- Make sure to use culinary lavender, as other types may not be safe for consumption.
