Description

This Hamburger Green Bean Casserole is a comforting dish that combines tender green beans with juicy ground beef, enveloped in a creamy mushroom sauce. Topped with crispy fried onions, each bite offers a delightful crunch that contrasts beautifully with the rich, savory flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Meat:
    • 1 pound ground beef
  • Vegetables:
    • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
    • 1 small onion, diced
  • Sauce:
    • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
    • 1/2 cup milk
  • Toppings:
    • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onion until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the green beans to the skillet and stir to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth, then pour over the beef and green bean mixture.
  5. Stir everything together until well combined, then transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the crispy fried onions on top, then return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
