Description

These Ham and Havarti Cheese Sliders are a delightful combination of juicy, savory ham and creamy Havarti cheese, all nestled in soft, buttery rolls. Each bite offers a satisfying contrast of textures, with the warm, melty cheese perfectly complementing the tender ham, creating a flavor experience that is both comforting and indulgent.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Sliders:
    • 12 slider rolls, preferably Hawaiian sweet rolls
    • 1 pound sliced ham
    • 8 ounces Havarti cheese, sliced
  • For the Butter Mixture:
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds until well combined.
  3. Slice the entire pack of slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected.
  4. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Layer the sliced ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, followed by the slices of Havarti cheese.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back on and brush the butter mixture generously over the top.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • These sliders can be assembled a few hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a different flavor, substitute the ham with turkey or roast beef, and try different cheeses like Swiss or cheddar.
