Ingredients

Scale
  • Brownie Base:
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
    • 2 cups granulated sugar
    • 4 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Coconut Pecan Topping:
    • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
    • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
    • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.

  8. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded coconut and toasted pecans.
  9. Spread the coconut pecan topping over the brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.
