- For the Casserole:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Topping:
- 1 cup crushed garlic croutons
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and fold in the cooked bacon and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, combine crushed croutons with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole. Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
