- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Once the meatballs are done, add them to the skillet with the garlic butter sauce and toss to coat.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a healthier option, you can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef.
- These meatballs can be served with pasta, rice, or on their own as an appetizer.
- Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
