Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, thyme, and garlic powder.
- In a baking dish, place the chicken breasts and pour the caramelized onions over them.
- Add the beef broth to the baking dish.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the Gruyère cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
