  • Author: Sophie
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x
  • Diet: Gluten-Free (if using gluten-free buns)

Description

These French Dip Sliders are a delightful combination of tender, juicy beef and gooey melted cheese, all nestled in soft, buttery rolls. Each bite is a savory explosion, enhanced by the rich, aromatic au jus that adds a comforting depth of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Sliders:
    • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
    • 8 slices provolone cheese
    • 12 slider buns
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • For the Au Jus:
    • 2 cups beef broth
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and onion powder.
  3. Place the slider buns in a baking dish and brush the tops with the butter mixture.
  4. Layer the roast beef evenly on the bottom half of the buns, followed by the provolone cheese.
  5. Cover with the top half of the buns and brush the tops again with the remaining butter mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  7. While the sliders are baking, prepare the au jus by combining beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Remove the sliders from the oven, slice them, and serve warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: You can prepare the sliders up to the baking step, cover them tightly, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Storage: Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Substitutions: Use Swiss cheese instead of provolone for a different flavor, or substitute turkey for the roast beef for a lighter option.
