Description
These French Dip Sliders are a delightful combination of tender, juicy beef and gooey melted cheese, all nestled in soft, buttery rolls. Each bite is a savory explosion, enhanced by the rich, aromatic au jus that adds a comforting depth of flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- For the Sliders:
- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 12 slider buns
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- For the Au Jus:
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and onion powder.
- Place the slider buns in a baking dish and brush the tops with the butter mixture.
- Layer the roast beef evenly on the bottom half of the buns, followed by the provolone cheese.
- Cover with the top half of the buns and brush the tops again with the remaining butter mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
- While the sliders are baking, prepare the au jus by combining beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the sliders from the oven, slice them, and serve warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Make-ahead: You can prepare the sliders up to the baking step, cover them tightly, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
- Storage: Leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Substitutions: Use Swiss cheese instead of provolone for a different flavor, or substitute turkey for the roast beef for a lighter option.
