- 2 cups fresh blood orange juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup champagne or sparkling wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Dissolve the sugar: In a saucepan over medium heat, pour in the fresh blood orange juice and sugar. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Cool it down: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
- Mix in the fizz: Once cool, stir in the champagne and lemon juice.
- Freeze: Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for about 2 hours, stirring with a fork every 30 minutes.
- Final freeze: After 2 hours, let the sorbet freeze until firm.
- Serve & enjoy: Scoop the vibrant sorbet into chilled bowls or glasses and garnish with a mint sprig.
