- For the Royal Icing:
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons meringue powder
- 6–8 tablespoons water

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into egg and bunny shapes.
- Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare royal icing by mixing powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water until smooth; divide into bowls and color as desired.
- Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing and let dry completely before serving.
