- Cake:
- 1 box of vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- Frosting:
- 1 cup of vanilla frosting
- Coating:
- 12 oz of white chocolate chips
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, mixing in eggs, water, and oil.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling it into a large bowl.
- Add the vanilla frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Add food coloring to the melted chocolate to achieve desired colors.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake ball. Dip the entire cake ball into the chocolate coating, allowing excess to drip off.
- Sprinkle with decorations if desired and place upright in a styrofoam block to set.
