Description

Easter Cake Pops are a delightful blend of moist cake and creamy frosting, coated in a vibrant layer of chocolate. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch followed by a soft, sweet explosion of flavor, making them a perfect festive treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Cake:
    • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
    • 3 large eggs
    • 1 cup of water
    • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • Frosting:
    • 1 cup of vanilla frosting
  • Coating:
    • 12 oz of white chocolate chips
    • Food coloring (various colors)
    • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, mixing in eggs, water, and oil.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool completely before crumbling it into a large bowl.
  5. Add the vanilla frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until well combined.
  6. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Chill the cake balls in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  8. Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  9. Add food coloring to the melted chocolate to achieve desired colors.
  10. Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake ball. Dip the entire cake ball into the chocolate coating, allowing excess to drip off.
  11. Sprinkle with decorations if desired and place upright in a styrofoam block to set.
