  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top, then add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. While the bread is baking, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Once the bread is done, let it cool for a few minutes before drizzling the icing on top.
