- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring they are fully incorporated after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until smooth.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out.
- Combine the brown sugar, oats, a hint of cinnamon, and melted butter in another bowl until crumbly. Sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle the rest of the crumb topping across the surface.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the crumb topping a day in advance. Store in the fridge before baking.
