  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and slice it into thick slabs.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, breadcrumbs, and a bowl for the tofu.
  4. Dip each tofu slice in flour, then in breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the tofu slices until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Place the fried tofu on a baking sheet, top each slice with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Assemble the sandwich by placing the crispy tofu on the rolls, adding more marinara sauce if desired, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
