Description

Delightful poppers filled with creamy mozzarella, enveloped in crispy bacon and drizzled with a sweet maple glaze.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz thick-cut bacon
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wrap each mozzarella ball tightly with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. Roll the bacon-wrapped mozzarella in panko breadcrumbs for an even coat.
  4. Arrange the coated poppers on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until bacon is golden brown and crispy.
  6. While baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan, stir in maple syrup and garlic powder, and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  7. Remove the poppers, drizzle with the sweet maple glaze and serve immediately.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Assemble a day beforehand and bake fresh before serving. Can be cooked in an air fryer for quicker results.
