Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the cranberries and orange zest.
  5. Mix heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  6. Add the cream mixture to the flour mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat it into a circle about 1-inch thick.
  8. Cut into wedges and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
