Ingredients

- 500g Bread Flour
- 350ml Water
- 100g Sourdough Starter
- 10g Salt
- 30ml Olive Oil
- 20g Honey
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the bread flour and water until no dry flour remains. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Add the sourdough starter, salt, olive oil, and honey to the dough. Stir until well incorporated.
- Knead the dough by hand on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 4-6 hours at room temperature.
- Once risen, turn the dough onto a floured surface. Shape it into a round loaf and place it in a floured banneton.
- Cover the dough and let it proof for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 230°C (450°F) for at least 30 minutes.
- Carefully transfer the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Score the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For a richer flavor, prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate it for slower fermentation.
