- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- Pour in warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the mixture for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm location for about 60 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Sprinkle your cinnamon-brown sugar mixture evenly over the surface.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape, and place it in a greased baking dish.
- Allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together, then drizzle it over the warm focaccia.
