Description

A delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, this cinnamon roll focaccia combines soft, pillowy bread with a sweet, buttery filling and a creamy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Pour in warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the mixture for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm location for about 60 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  7. Sprinkle your cinnamon-brown sugar mixture evenly over the surface.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log shape, and place it in a greased baking dish.
  9. Allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  11. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together, then drizzle it over the warm focaccia.
