Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Mix the mashed ripe bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Whisk until well blended and creamy.
  3. Add the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture, then sprinkle in the flour. Stir gently until just combined—avoid overmixing.
  4. Prepare the cinnamon sugar mixture by mixing granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Layer half of the banana bread batter into the greased loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter.
  6. Add the remaining banana bread batter over the cinnamon sugar layer, ensuring even coverage. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  7. Swirl the mixture gently with a knife or skewer from top to bottom to create a marbled effect.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick— it should come out clean or with a few crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Prepare the glaze by combining powdered sugar with milk until smooth. Adjust the consistency as needed.
  11. Glaze the cooled bread, drizzling generously over the top.
