Description

Delicious and festive churro bites, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Chocolate or caramel sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Combine water, butter, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add flour and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Cool the dough for 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
  5. Pipe the dough into the hot oil, about 2 inches long.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and coat in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce.

Notes

Allow the dough to rest for a lighter texture. Fry in small batches to ensure even cooking.
