Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- Oil (for frying)
- Chocolate or caramel sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
- Combine water, butter, sugar, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Add flour and stir until a dough forms.
- Cool the dough for 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
- Pipe the dough into the hot oil, about 2 inches long.
- Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and coat in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Serve warm with chocolate or caramel sauce.
Notes
Allow the dough to rest for a lighter texture. Fry in small batches to ensure even cooking.
