  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • Red and green sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sugar cookie crumbs and melted butter until combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add granulated sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  6. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Stir in sour cream and almond extract until smooth.
  8. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  10. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  11. Before serving, top with red and green sprinkles.

  • For a firmer cheesecake, bake a little longer.
  • Let the cheesecake cool completely before refrigerating.
