Ingredients

  • 10g salt
  • 10g instant yeast
  • 250ml milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100g unsalted butter, softened
  • 200g chocolate chips
  • 500ml vanilla custard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the milk and whisk in the eggs.
  3. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Add the softened butter and continue kneading until fully incorporated.
  6. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions.
  8. Flatten each portion, add a spoonful of vanilla custard and some chocolate chips, then shape into a ball.
  9. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Let cool slightly before serving.
