A delightful combination of creamy chicken Alfredo served on crispy garlic bread, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

- 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced lengthwise
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (1 stick)
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound), cut into ½-inch pieces
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced (about ½ cup)
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 cups Parmesan cheese, finely grated
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the Italian bread halves cut-side up on the baking sheet. Spread softened butter over the surface and sprinkle with garlic salt.
- Bake the bread for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp, then set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with garlic salt, paprika, kosher salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, and cook the chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and cook diced onion until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until melted and thickened.
- Spread about ¾ cup of Alfredo sauce on each toasted bread half and top with cooked chicken, followed by mozzarella and white cheddar.
- Bake for another 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted, then broil for 1–2 minutes.
- Allow to rest for a few minutes, garnish with parsley, then slice and serve warm with remaining Alfredo sauce.
Notes
Customize with different veggies or proteins as desired. Leftovers store well and reheat beautifully.
