Ingredients
- Pasta: 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
- Alfredo Sauce: 2 cups heavy cream, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 4 cloves garlic (minced), 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Bacon: 8 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Cheese Layer: 1 cup ricotta cheese, 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, then stir in Parmesan and mozzarella until melted and smooth.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the crumbled bacon, and a third of the Alfredo sauce.
- Repeat the layering process, finishing with a final layer of noodles topped with the remaining Alfredo sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This lasagna can be assembled a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream and turkey bacon for regular bacon.
