Description

A delightful dessert that combines fluffy cake layers with a rich cream filling, drizzled with luscious caramel and a satisfying crunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and prepare your cake pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, around 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to your wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, then bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely before removing it from the pan.
  9. Beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in the whipped cream and a teaspoon of vanilla.
  10. Slice the cooled cake in half horizontally and spread the cream filling on the bottom layer.
  11. Garnish your cake with caramel sauce and toppings like crushed nuts or chocolate shavings.
