- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a tart pan and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Cook until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Pour the caramelized apples into the prepared pie crust.
- In a small saucepan, combine heavy cream and vanilla extract. Heat until warm, then pour over the apples.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
