Description

A delicious blend of creamy oats, sweet candied orange peel, and tart cranberries, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup candied orange peel
  • 2 cups water or milk
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water or milk to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the oats and salt, then reduce heat to a simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add in the dried cranberries, candied orange peel, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  4. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and combined.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier texture, use milk instead of water or a mixture of both. You can prepare a larger batch in advance for quick breakfasts.
