- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup crab meat
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour and whisk for about 1 minute to create a roux.
- Slowly add the milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Fold in the cooked macaroni, shrimp, and crab meat until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- For a spicier version, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning.
