- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb crab meat
- 1 cup diced onion
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1 cup diced celery
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups seafood stock
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté the onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic until softened.
- Add the shrimp and crab meat, cooking until shrimp is pink.
- Sprinkle the flour over the seafood mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the seafood stock and heavy cream, stirring until thickened.
- Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Pour the seafood mixture into a pie crust and cover with the second crust, sealing the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning.
- Can substitute seafood with chicken or vegetables for a different twist.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
