A delicious and sweet casserole made with brown sugar, pecans, and sweet potatoes, perfect for holiday gatherings.

- 4 cups sweet potatoes, mashed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
- Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix the chopped pecans with a little brown sugar and sprinkle over the sweet potato mixture.
- If desired, add mini marshmallows on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until heated through and golden on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brown butter instead of regular melted butter.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
