Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the carrots: Peel and cut them into uniform pieces.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  3. Coat the carrots in melted butter by stirring gently.
  4. Add the brown sugar to the skillet, allowing it to combine with the butter.
  5. Develop tenderness by adding water and covering the skillet to steam the carrots for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Thicken the glaze by uncovering and cooking for a few more minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.

Notes

Can be prepared a day in advance and reheated. Substitute honey or maple syrup for brown sugar to vary sweetness.
