- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; whisk until smooth.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked macaroni and broccoli florets to the cheese sauce; mix well.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
Notes
- For a healthier option, you can use whole wheat macaroni.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like peas or spinach.
