- 4 slices of bread
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced pears, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the pears are caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the pears from the skillet and set aside.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer the brie cheese and caramelized pears.
- Top with the other two slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Heat the skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of walnuts or arugula.
- Use a good quality bread for the best results.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar to the pears.
