Ingredients

  • 6 cups of day-old bread, cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, whiskey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Add the cubed bread to the mixture and let it soak for about 30 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
  6. While the pudding is baking, prepare the whiskey caramel sauce.
  7. Serve warm with the whiskey caramel sauce drizzled on top.
