A rich and indulgent dessert featuring bread pudding soaked in whiskey and topped with a luscious caramel sauce.
Ingredients

- 6 cups of day-old bread, cubed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of whiskey
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, whiskey, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread to the mixture and let it soak for about 30 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted comes out clean.
- While the pudding is baking, prepare the whiskey caramel sauce.
- Serve warm with the whiskey caramel sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread.
- Let the bread pudding cool slightly before serving.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
