- 1 can of young green jackfruit in brine or water
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 4 slices of bread
- 1 cup shredded cheese (vegan or regular)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Drain and rinse the jackfruit, then cut it into smaller pieces.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the jackfruit.
- Add BBQ sauce to the jackfruit and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until it becomes tender and can be shredded.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble the sandwich by placing the BBQ pulled jackfruit and shredded cheese between two slices of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwich on both sides until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
