Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
- 1 cup vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
- Optional: Additional vanilla wafer cookies and banana slices for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and let it bake until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- Poke holes all over the cooled cake, ensuring they’re about an inch apart.
- Combine the cup of milk with the instant pudding mix in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
- Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake, making sure it seeps into all the holes.
- Fold together the whipped cream and sliced bananas, then spread this mixture evenly over the pudding layer.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of crushed vanilla wafer cookies on top.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving.
