Description
Baked Falafel with Tahini Sauce is a healthy and delicious dish made from chickpeas and spices, served with a creamy tahini sauce.

			- 1 can chickpeas (15 oz), drained and rinsed
 - 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
 - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
 - 1 small onion, chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 tsp ground cumin
 - 1 tsp ground coriander
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
 - 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
 - 1/4 cup flour (or chickpea flour for gluten-free)
 - 2 tbsp olive oil
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
 - In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Pulse until a coarse mixture forms.
 - Add flour and pulse again until combined.
 - Form the mixture into small balls or patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
 - Drizzle olive oil over the falafel.
 - Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
 - While the falafel is baking, prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini, lemon juice, garlic, water, and salt in a bowl until smooth.
 - Serve the baked falafel warm with tahini sauce drizzled on top.
 
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more cayenne pepper.
 - These falafels can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
 - Serve with pita bread and fresh vegetables for a complete meal.
