Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 2 slices of pepper jack cheese
  • Butter, for spreading

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer the avocado slices, tomato slices, and pepper jack cheese on top.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
