- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, apple cider, ketchup, brown sugar, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Mix until well combined and shape into a loaf.
- Place the meatloaf in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together additional apple cider and ketchup for the glaze.
- Brush the glaze over the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a dash of cayenne pepper to the meat mixture.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or a side salad for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
